Overview of Lessons
I love teaching all ages! From four year old children to retired adults, I've had experience with it all! I am qualified and comfortable teaching all levels of piano, all levels of theory, and beginning voice. I also provide group classes to homeschooling families and parents with toddlers. All lessons will include a bit of theory, a bit of sight reading work, and a lot of playing! I look forward to sharing the joys of music with all of you!

Philosophy of Music
Music is an aesthetic and artistic expression of the world around us. It is more than the notes on a page; it is using sound in a particular, intentional fashion as a means of communicating without words. When music is taught, sought, and performed with excellence, it can reveal deep truths about life. Being its own, unique language, music is capable of conveying all facets of human expression. For example, music is logical and creative, fun and serious, historical and cultural, physical and spiritual. Music is both challenging and rewarding. Whether one is a performer or listener of music, one’s horizons are broadened because music stimulates the mind, body, and soul in a unique and unified way.
